The bus network of the Empresa Municipal de Transportes de Madrid (EMT Madrid) will reinforce its services during the Christmas holidays this 2024, from December 23 to January 7, and will modify its schedules during Christmas Eve and Christmas. We tell you all the information in this article so you can plan ahead.
On December 24, Christmas Eve, the daytime service will end between 8:30 p.m. and 8:45 p.m., depending on the line and the headline.
On December 25, Christmas Day, the bus service will start running between 7:15 and 8:45 a.m., depending on the line and headline, except for special lines and lines to cemeteries.
Owl service will have changes on the night of December 24-25, including service on the Airport Express line.
On all night lines, from N1 to N26, the service will start at 10 pm and will run until 7 am. There will be departures from Cibeles and Alonso Martínez at the following times:
- 22 hours
- 10:50 p.m.
- 11:40 p.m.
- 0.30 a.m.
- 1.20 hours
- 2.10 hours
- 3:00 a.m.
- 3.50 hours
- 5.25 hours
- 7:00 a.m.
The N28 and N31 will depart from Moncloa at 22:20, 23:30, 0:40, 1:50, 3:00, 4:10, 5:20 and 6:30.
The night circular lines, NC1 and NC2, will provide service from 10:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. at 35-minute intervals. From 4:00 a.m. to 6:45 a.m. the frequency will be every 70 minutes.
