Theatre, dance, music and festivalsis what the Community of Madrid and the Malasaña neighborhood promise to bring to the festivities of the Day of the Community of Madrid this May 2, 2022, the date on which the uprising of the people of Madrid in 1808 against the French occupation is commemorated.
“Plaza 2 de Mayo” in Malasaña will once again be the epicenter of these festivities with live music and a show to commemorate this day.
In addition, the bars, businesses and shops in this neighborhood will organize themselves to offer free activities and music between the afternoons of Friday, April 29, and the afternoon of Monday, May 2.
The Maravillas Platform will once again be in charge, for the fourteenth consecutive year, of organizing everything scheduled for the Malasaña neighborhood, most of these will be free activities for individuals and groups.
The Community of Madrid has also unveiled a series of activities to commemorate these dates, among which are:
