Our next hiking adventure is absolutely magical!

We will enter a fairytale forest, following the beautiful waters of the Guadalix River until we come across the impressive and crystalline Cascada del Hervidero waterfall. This is one of the best routes in Madrid, taking us through the lesser known but incalculable natural beauty of the region!

Did you know that San Agustín del Guadalix has a very rich past? It was home to Iberians, Romans and Visigoths and was under Arab rule for almost two centuries.

Details of the Walk

Halfway through our tour, we will stop for a relaxing picnic. Imagine: good food, great company and incredible views before we head back. This is an easy level route, covering approximately 12 km with very little elevation gain, perfect for everyone! And the best part: We’ll make a refreshing stop at the waterfall on the way back to forget about the heat of Madrid.

What do I need to bring?
  1. Wear comfortable walking or hiking boots or sneakers– your feet will thank you!
  2. Bring at least 1.5 liters of water– stay hydrated!
  3. Pack some food for lunch (a sandwich, fruit, snacks, etc.).
  4. Don’t forget the sunscreen to protect your skin.
  5. And, of course, a lot of adventure!
IMPORTANT

We will go by public transport, so bring cash for the bus, (approx 10 euros round trip) which is not included in the price (under 26 years old free with Transport Pass). If you have your own car, you can bring it and take other participants with you to share the gas.

  1. A whatsapp group will be created the day before or the day of the event to share photos, send information about the trip and stay connected in case of emergency.
  2. Remember that no-shows and late arrivals will not be refunded or rescheduled, so please be on time for the trip.
  3. Join our whatsapp group to get discounts and stay informed.

By purchasing the cancellation insurance you will be able to cancel and receive a full refund or change the date up to 24 hours prior to the trip. This way you guarantee not to lose the full amount of the trip due to change of plans, illness, personal issues, etc.

– For a full refund, at least 3 days notice must be given.

– A refund or change of date may be requested within 24 hrs after the reservation has been made.

– There are no refunds or exchanges if you arrive after the departure time or do not show up for the trip or event.
