We have all wished at some time to have our Metro Pass Card at hand, without having to take out our wallet, Now, although it is still being tested, the Community of Madrid is working so that we can carry our public transport on our mobile.
For the time being, the Madrid Regional Transport Consortium (CRTM) has developed the Virtual Transport Card application to carry the transport card in Google Walletand access the metro and bus without having to carry the physical card.
However, this application should not be confused with the Tarjeta Transporte application, which only allows recharging the ticket and consulting the remaining trips, or the remaining days before the expiration of its validity in the case of monthly passes.
In order to carry the 10-trip voucher on your cell phone, the only pass that is available for the moment in its virtual version, it is important to download the Virtual Transport Card application which, for the moment, will only be available for Android 7.0 or higher.
To load this card, inside the application you will have to enter the Bank Card section and enter the data to validate the payment. Then go to Balance and Recharge and go to Purchase Card and Ticket, from where you can buy a 10-trip metrobus voucher , currently priced at 6.10 euros.
Once downloaded and the configuration is complete, we can bring our cell phone close to the turnstiles and go through without having to take out the physical card.
