Definitive prices for the Madrid Transport Season Ticket for 2025

Last Wednesday, January 22, the vote to validate the Government’s omnibus decree took place in the Congress of Deputies, but one of the parties voted against it. This caused the law to fall and, therefore, the measures already in place since last December, among which was the one allowing different types of discounts on Spanish public transport.

However, since some aspects of the prices of certain transport services depend on the autonomous communities and their city councils, in the specific case of Madrid, this reduction, which has been in place since 2022 as a government measure to alleviate the negative effects on the Spanish economy due to the war in Ukraine and inflation, was not cancelled.

Thus, in the Community of Madrid, the rates of the transport season ticket remained last week, momentarily, the same as before, as agreed until June 2025. In this way, the Madrid transport pass, which covers metro and bus services, has been maintaining its discounted prices even with the refusal of part of the Congress of Deputies.

This was decided by the Executive of Isabel Díaz Ayuso, which indicated that it would continue to support the 60% subsidy for these passes and tickets, at least for a few days, thus assuming both the 30% discount corresponding to the autonomous community and the 30% provided by the central government.

However, as of Tuesday, January 28, with the agreement reached between Junts and the Government to move forward with a large part of the omnibus decree, these transport subsidies will once again be subsidized in half between the State and the Madrid Government, with 30-30 percentages, as was established months ago, and this subsidy will last at least until June 2025.

With this scenario, we tell you how the prices of the 30-day transport pass by zones are in Madrid with the current agreement:
