The Madrid Carnival 2025 will be held from March 1 to 5, from Carnival Friday to Ash Wednesday, with a free program of parades, workshops, gymkhana and parties in addition to the Manteo del Pelele, the Burial of the Sardine and the Cortejo de la Sardina.

These will be the activities of the Madrid Carnival that will take place in Matadero Madrid (Metro Legazpi).
Saturday, March 1st
- 11 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.: Giants and Cabezudos (big-heads)
- 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: Carnival dance and choreography workshop.
- 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.: Carnival costume workshop.
- 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.: Carnival masks workshop
- 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.: Children’s percussion workshop
- 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.: Face painting workshop
- 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: Gymkhana: You can see stars from Madrid
- 11 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.: Charanga Los Sapitos
- 11 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.: Vacilón. The same story told in a different way (magic show).
- 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.: Tartana – circus acrobatics show
- 12:45 to 1:00 p.m.: Carnival Proclamation
- 1 to 3 p.m.: Grand Carnival Parade at Toledo Bridge
- 18:00 to 22:00: Carnival Party at the Black Esplanade
Sunday, March 2
- 11 a.m.: Manteo del Pelele
- 12:00 noon: Encounter of Comparsas and Chirigotas
Wednesday, March 5
- 18 to 21 hours: Traditional Burial of the Sardine – It will leave from the chapel of SAn Antonio de la Florida and will end at the Fuente del Pajarito of the Casa de Campo through the Reina Victoria Bridge, Paseo del Comandante Fortea, Calle de Santa Comba and Doctor Casal until the exit tunnel to Calle 30.
