This Sunday, April 28,<\/strong> the streets of Madrid will once again vibrate with the 40,000 people who will participate in the three distances of the Zurich Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series Madrid: <\/strong>marathon (42k), half marathon (21k) and 10K.<\/p>\n\n

There will be 30 animation points distributed along the course and will allow all runners to live a unique and different experience in this 2024 marathon.<\/p>\n

One of the main favorites to win this year’s edition is Kenyan Reuben Kiprop Kipyego<\/strong>, third in Rotterdam 2023, with 2h03:55. In the women’s category, the main favorites are three Ethiopians: Bontu Bekela Gada<\/strong> (2h23:39), Ayantu Gemechu Abdi<\/strong> (2h24:45) and Kebene Chala<\/strong> (2h26:39).<\/p>\n\n

Tariku Novales<\/strong>, the Spanish marathon record holder, will run the half marathon, a distance in which he has a time of 1h01:46, and in which he will face Kenyan Dominic Chemut Kiptarus<\/strong>, the only athlete registered with a time of less than one hour (59:55).<\/p>\n\n

In the 10 km section, the main contenders for the victory are all Spanish, both in the men’s category with Carlos Mayo, Adam Maij\u00f3 and Adri\u00e1n Ben<\/strong>, and in the women’s with Paula Herrero, Marta Galimany, \u00c1gueda Marqu\u00e9s and Marta P\u00e9rez<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

The Zurich Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series of Madrid has three different routes that will cross the capital. The start of all sections will be at Plaza Gregorio Mara\u00f1\u00f3n<\/strong>, on Paseo de la Castellana, and the finish line will be at Paseo de Recoletos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

The marathon, the 42-kilometer section, will pass through the main monuments and tourist attractions<\/strong> of the capital city, such as the 4 Torres complex, the Plaza del Callao, the Puerta del Sol<\/strong>The tour includes a visit to the Plaza de la Villa, the Almudena Cathedral and the Prado Museum, as well as part of the Casa de Campo, the largest public park in Madrid.<\/p>\n
