Our next hiking adventure will be to Peñalara, (definitely one of our best routes). In this emblematic place is the summit of Madrid, the highest peak of the Sierra de Guadarrama. Considered a Natural Site of National Interest for its important ecological, historical and landscape value. ⛰️ 🐐🎖️

A route suitable for the bravest and with good physical conditions, as we will climb up to the peak of Peñalara at an altitude of 2428 m high, in one of the most beautiful natural enclaves of the mountain range, where we enjoy incredible views, glacial lakes, green meadows and with luck, we can see its most famous inhabitants: the mountain goats. 🐐

In the middle of the tour, we will have a picnic to rest, eat and enjoy the area and begin our return.

⚡ Quick tips for a great day.

Wear comfortable hiking boots or sneakers.
Carry at least 1.5 liters of water.
Pack light picnic food (sandwich, fruit, snacks).
Sunscreen, hat and sunglasses: the altitude is noticeable on the skin.
And don’t forget your camera: the views of the reservoir surrounded by mountains are postcard-perfect!

What do I need to bring?

Wear comfortable walking or hiking boots or sneakers– your feet will thank you!
Bring at least 1.5 liters of water– stay hydrated!
Pack some food for lunch (a sandwich, fruit, snacks, etc.).
Don’t forget the sunscreen to protect your skin.
And yes, that swimsuit!

IMPORTANT

We will go by public transport, so bring cash for the bus, (approx 10 euros round trip) which is not included in the price (under 26 years old free with Transport Pass). If you have your own car, you can bring it and take other participants with you to share the gas.
