La Pedriza is our next hiking destination, an area of great geological and scenic interest and one of the most emblematic routes in Madrid for its incredible granite rock formations. We will follow the path created by the Manzanares River and enjoy the sound of water until the end of the trail with spectacular views of the Sierra de Guadarrama Natural Park. We will arrive to the famous Charca Verde (the Green Pound), which owes its name to the effect produced by the color of the rocks at its bottom along with the reflections in its waters, which gives it its characteristic emerald green color.

Halfway through the tour we will have a picnic to rest, eat and enjoy the area and begin our return.

1. Wear comfortable walking or hiking boots or sneakers– your feet will thank you!

We will go by public transport, so bring cash for the bus, (approx 6 euros round trip) which is not included in the price (under 26 years old free with Transport Pass). If you have your own car, you can bring it and take other participants with you to share the gas.
