“It has been a necessary pass since ancient times to communicate both mountain slopes and, later, an obligatory route between Segovia and Madrid. Many changes and travelers have seen this pass in its more than 2,000 years of history: Romans, ranchers, kings, pilgrims, soldiers…. All have trodden this primitive pass, characterized by its forests and complex orography. At the end of the 18th century it lost part of its usefulness in favor of the Navacerrada pass, but today it is still alive as a road to Santiago de Compostela and a sports route for mountaineers, cyclists and hikers.”

We will go by public transportation, so bring cash for the bus, (approx 3 euros round trip) which is not included in the price (under 26 years old free with Transport Pass). If you have your own car, you can bring it and take other participants with you to share the gas.
