Cercedilla & El Mirador de los Poetas – 21 de Diciembre

Madrid is besides a city full of culture, nightlife, ‘cañas y tapas’ a place sorrounded by nature; mountains, lakes , rivers and a lot of FUN! Discover it, while meeting people from all over the world. 🌳🏔️
This Sunday we will do one of the most beautiful hiking trails in the mountains of Madrid, through the beautiful area surrounding the mythical village of Cercedilla north of Madrid. From the viewpoint known as El Mirador de los Poetas, we can enjoy the views of Siete Picos, a massif also known as La Sierra del Dragón, the waters of the Pradillo River, the Camino del Agua and a majestic forest of pines and oaks. Admired by King Charles V, this incredible and magical forest will be our delight this weekend.
Halfway through the tour, we will have a picnic to rest, eat and enjoy the views by the river.

This is a moderate level route of about 15km.

WHEN: Sunday, December 21.
– MEETING PLACE: Coffee and Beer – Calle de la Princesa, 98, Moncloa
– TIME: 9:30
– Participation: only 16€.

All our routes are by public transportation, please bring some cash for the bus. If you have a car you can come and share gasoline expenses with other hikers.

★★ RECOMMENDATIONS ★★

1. Bring comfortable walking or hiking boots or sneakers.
2. Each person should bring at least 1.5 liter of water.
3. Bring food for lunch (sandwich, fruit, etc).
4. Don’t forget to bring sunscreen.
5. Cash for the bus (3 euros one way and 3 euros return) or youth transportation card (under 26).

We will go by public transport, so bring cash for the bus, (approx 3 euros one way and 3 euros return) which is not included in the price (under 26 years old free with Transport Pass). If you have your own car, you can bring it and take other participants with you to share the gas.
