Christmas Town & Navacerrada Lake – Saturday, 1 December

🎄🚶The Navacerrada Reservoir receives the waters descending from the Sierra de Guadarrama through the Barranca Valley, where the Navacerrada River, which gives its name to the municipality, flows. During the walk around the reservoir, we will enjoy an impressive panoramic view with the valley, La Maliciosa, and La Bola del Mundo standing out as the most important landmarks in this area.

Along the route, you can see a varied evolution in the presence of plant species in the environment. 🌳🍂

In the first sections, the pastures stand out, followed by the oak forest of Quercus Pyrenaica, interspersed with riparian trees such as willow and ash that line the reservoir’s shore, our main route. Once we complete the beautiful tour of the reservoir/lake, we will go for a walk through one of the most Christmas-like villages in the Community of Madrid: Navacerrada, which will light up its Christmas lights on this very day, marking the start of the holiday season in the mountains. ❄️☃️🫎☃️
