Let’s discover together the fun side of Madrid by visiting these incredible places with interesting people who live in Madrid. You’ll be able to practice other languages, enjoy nature, and escape the stress and hustle of the city.

On this occasion, we’ll explore one of the most beautiful parts of the Sierra de Guadarrama on a simple and gradual ascent along a lovely trail with Scots pines and ferns until we reach the summit of Bola del Mundo or Alto de Guarramillas, where, thanks to recent snowfall, we’ll enjoy unique beauty. At the top, we’ll take in fantastic views of other peaks like La Maliciosa.

We’ll also have a spectacular view of La Pedriza, the most famous granite formation in the Madrid region. A stunning route to enjoy the trails, its mountainous nature, and fresh air.

Halfway through, we’ll stop for a picnic to rest, eat, and continue our journey.

This is a moderate-level route, so anyone in good physical condition is welcome.

Important note:

We’ll use public transportation, so bring some cash to pay for it (not included in the ticket price). If you’re under 26 and have the youth pass, transportation is free. If you have your own car, you can bring it and share gas expenses with other hikers if you agree.

Bring comfortable walking or hiking boots, or at least sneakers.
Each person should bring at least 2 liters of water.
Bring food for the picnic/lunch (sandwich, fruit, etc.).
Cash for the bus. 5-euro bills
