Peñalara “mountain lakes” – Saturday, 16 November

Our next hiking adventure will be to Peñalara, (definitely one of our best routes). In this emblematic place is the summit of Madrid, the highest peak of the Sierra de Guadarrama. Considered a Natural Site of National Interest for its important ecological, historical and landscape value. ⛰️ 🐐🎖️

A route suitable for the bravest and with good physical conditions, as we will climb up to the peak of Peñalara at an altitude of 2428 m high, in one of the most beautiful natural enclaves of the mountain range, where we enjoy incredible views, glacial lakes, green meadows and with luck, we can see its most famous inhabitants: the mountain goats. 🐐

In the middle of the tour, we will have a picnic to rest, eat and enjoy the area and begin our return.

All our routes are accessible by public transportation, so we will go by bus, but if you have a car, you can bring it and share gasoline expenses with other participants. Bus apart.
